CEM Student finds fun and career path over summer!

Alek Leckszas, a Construction Engineering and Management student, landed an internship with a California-based electrical contracting company

Alek Leckszas, Myers-Lawson school of construction, Construction Engineering and Management student,  can't recall when he first became interested in sustainability, but an internship with a California-based electrical contracting company's renewable energy division this past summer helped the Virginia Tech senior hone his passion. Spring 2023 Hardhatting Ceremony

The Spring 2023 MLSoC Hardhatting Ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Moss Arts Center, located at 190 Alumni Mall, Blacksburg, VA 24061. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 P.M. and will be followed by a reception for graduates and their families. Doors will open at 3 p.m.

Reception - Following the ceremony, food will be provided in a tent outside of the Moss Arts Center.

Fall 2022 Hardhatting Ceremony

The Fall 2022 MLSoC Hardhatting Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Lyric Theatre, located at 135 College Ave, Blacksburg, VA 24060. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 P.M. and will be followed by a reception for graduates and their families. We ask that students arrive by 3 p.m. so we can line them up.

CEM Capstone Showcase

As part of thier senior requirements, Construction Engineering and Management (CEM) students take our Capstone Course where they apply theory over two semesters working collaboratively to develop a competitive proposal summarizing their design and construction solutions.  The top five team finalists present to industry leaders on Capstone Day.
