John Lawson, one of the two founding members of the Myers-Lawson School of Construction has been recognized for ENR MidAtlantic Legacy Award. This is the first award of its kind and recognizes John Lawson for his over forty years of dedication to the construction industry. Lawson has helped grow the W.M. Dr. de la Garza was the ninth recipient of the Richard L. Tucker Leadership and Service Award. His participation on CII research teams and activities for nearly three decades made him a model of service both to CII and the Industry. In addition to this esteemed honor, Dr. de la Garza also was awarded as Outstanding CII Instructor for 2013 in recognition for his contributions to engineering, to teaching and to the industry. The 2013 Myers-Lawson award was presented to Paul Carter by Mr. Robert Wells, the current Myers-Lawson School of Construction Industry Board Chair, and Director, Dr. Brian Kleiner during the Spring Awards Banquet.  The banquet was held on April 25^th at the Inn at Virginia Tech.
