Virginia Tech Construction Students Dominate the ASC Region 2 Competition

At Virginia Tech, Christine Fiori is the associate director for the Myers-Lawson School of Construction. CEM Student finds fun and career path over summer!

Alek Leckszas, a Construction Engineering and Management student,  landed an internship with a California-based electrical contracting company

Alek Leckszas, Myers-Lawson school of construction, Construction Engineering and Management student,  can't recall when he first became interested in sustainability, but an internship with a California-based electrical contracting company's renewable energy division this past summer helped the Virginia Tech senior hone his passion. Professor Mills Class Introduction to Building Constructions lays foundations for success.

Learning to be involved beyond the classroom is another element Mills introduces, and his students work in teams to get involved with a variety of community service activities.

As fall semester gets into full swing, Associate Professor Thomas Mills, MLSoC Faculty, is busy welcoming the incoming class of building construction students. Mills is responsible for teaching BC 1224: Introduction to Building Construction, a required course for all first-year students in building construction that provides a foundation for success in the university and their careers.
