Doctor Pearce organized her class along with other Virginia Tech students and partnered with Habitat for Humanity and the New River Valley TimeBank to successfully execute the area's first Repair Cafe.

Virginia Tech and Lowe's have joined forces to empower Lowe's employees.
The pair has collaborated to develop an exosuit — a wearable suit with lift-assist technology — currently in pilot at Lowe's Christiansburg, Virginia, store.
