The goal of our career fair is to provide opportunities to the many students interested in pursuing a career in the construction industry. Students from all majors are invited to attend this fair. We want all our students to have the opportunity to receive an MLSoC Undergraduate Student Scholarship! We offer a broad array of scholarships for in-state, out-of-state, merit based and need based. Spring 2023 Hardhatting Ceremony

The Spring 2023 MLSoC Hardhatting Ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Moss Arts Center, located at 190 Alumni Mall, Blacksburg, VA 24061. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 P.M. and will be followed by a reception for graduates and their families. Doors will open at 3 p.m.

Reception - Following the ceremony, food will be provided in a tent outside of the Moss Arts Center.

Fall 2022 Hardhatting Ceremony

The Fall 2022 MLSoC Hardhatting Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Lyric Theatre, located at 135 College Ave, Blacksburg, VA 24060. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 P.M. and will be followed by a reception for graduates and their families. We ask that students arrive by 3 p.m. so we can line them up.

MLSoC students use classroom learning during summer internships

Students in the Myers-Lawson School of Construction are putting their classroom skills to the test out in the field this summer. Follow along throughout the summer as we show you some of the internships our students are taking part in.

CEM Capstone Showcase

As part of thier senior requirements, Construction Engineering and Management (CEM) students take our Capstone Course where they apply theory over two semesters working collaboratively to develop a competitive proposal summarizing their design and construction solutions.  The top five team finalists present to industry leaders on Capstone Day.
