MLSoC Parters with Local Organizations for the NRV's First Repair Cafe

Doctor Pearce organized her class along with other Virginia Tech students and partnered with Habitat for Humanity and the New River Valley TimeBank to successfully execute the area's first Repair Cafe. 

Repair Cafe is an international organization that was formed to encourage sustainability, reduce waste, and encourages community. 

The MLSoC team organized and staffed the furniture repair station.  

Zach Gould, an MLSoC BioBuild student also hosted outreach activities that taught people how to use food containers and convert them into microgreen planters.
