
Myers-Lawson School of Construction participated in the Feeding America of Southwest VA CANstruction event at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke. Students designed a Canstructure that represents a bulldozer"demolishing hunger" in front of a Virginia Tech flag. This exhibit will be on display through November 22nd, and the admission to the Museum is one can of goods to help support Feeding America of Southwest VA. The names of the VT team members are Erika Nelson, Architecture (design), Tim Kelly, CEM (planning), Jordan Kawulicz, CEM, Mitchell Hintz, CEM, Sasha Azel, CEM, Matt Garman, BC, & Caleb Doody, CEM (build team), with Buck Lawson, CEM, Matt Russell, BC, Tanner Gariepy, BC, David Biedeman, BC, Thoqeer Sharieff, BC, & Jacob Carter, BC (assisting the build team).

Over 3300 cans were raised. After showing, the cans will be donated to Feeding America of Southwest Virginia.
