Clark Completes Construction of Massive Portrait on the National Mall

Clark Construction in collaboration with The Smithsonian' National Portrait Gallery have come together to create a grand portrait on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The vision of artist Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada was brought to life using more than 800 tons of soil and 2000 tons of sand. The facescape titled "Out of Many, One" depicts the diversity within the Washington metropolitan area. The project opened on October 4th and will extend through the end of the month. Visitors will be able to view the project from the Washington Monument or have the unique experience of walking through the portrait.
