Brooke's research goal is to understand how students best learn from international service learning experiences while increasing the value of their projects (e.g. infrastructure) in the communities in which they are working.
As part of her research, Brooke will co-teach an undergraduate course in the Myers-Lawson School of Construction (MLSoC) for students in the fall titled “Global Design and Construction.” Students will travel to Rwanda, Africa over winter break to build, with the Community, their infrastructure designs. Funding and administrative support for the course will also be provided by MLSoC.
