We are thrilled to announce Josh Hagy as our Building Construction Outstanding Senior!
Josh was born in Richlands, Virginia, grew up in Abingdon, and moved to Blacksburg in 2003. His father owned his own residential construction company growing up. Josh transferred from New River Community College. “I chose BC because I have always enjoyed construction. This program helped me to learn the ins and outs of the construction process. I very much enjoyed the level of personal attention that the professors and advisors provide.” After graduation, Josh is remaining in Blacksburg working as an estimator for Snyder and Associates. Throughout school, he worked two to three jobs at a time to pay for school. His most prominent memories are of the field trips he took to material manufacturers. He shared that it was very handy learning first hand about the actual materials used in construction.
Josh shared, “I would like to thank the faculty and staff of the MLSoC. Even as a returning student finishing my degree later in life, I was always made to feel welcome. My professors and advisors went out of their way to provide me the best possible experience. I have been able to make friends and contacts that I will last a lifetime. Thank you so much to everyone. . . GO HOKIES!!!”
