Advisor Shelton Norwood is the recipient of the Virginia Tech 2021 Provost’s Award for Excellence in Advising! This award is given annually to recognize an individual who serves undergraduates in exemplary ways. Shelton will recieve a plaque and membership in the University’s Academy of Advising Excellence.
Shelton goes above and beyond for our students. It’s not unusual to get a call or text from Shelton late in the evening with something that he feels I should know about if a student is in peril. Students have so many pressures in their lives and Shelton is on the front line for all of it. It’s not easy being on the front line but Shelton is consistent in his compassion.
