2015 CEM Graduate Honored as 2018 New Face of Civil Engineering by ASCE

The American Society of Civil Engineering has honored Casie Venable as a 2018 New Face of Civil Engineering. Venable graduated from Virginia Tech in 2015, where she earned a dual degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering and Management. Venable is currently a Ph.D. Student at the University of Colorado Boulder studying Civil, Environment, and Architectural Engineering. She is a fellow with the Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need Program and is working on a research thesis project, "Post-Disaster Shelters: Participation, Performance, and Resilience."
